Do you still use Redbox?

I used to rent from them on a weekly basis, but in the last half year or so, nothing is ever in stock, even with 3 different kiosks in my town. I get that not many people rent DVD's anymore, but for $2.25, its was a hell of a deal.

reply

I still rent DVDs from Netflix. The selection is the main reason.

reply

Didn't realize they still offered physical DVDs.

reply

THAT IS BITCHIN!

reply

I never used Red Box. I saw the machine only once or twice. I normally borrow DVDs from the library.

reply

They took away our little town's Redbox last year. Haven't used it since. Used to be a main source of entertainment when I lived in my van.

reply

How big is your town? We have 3 Redboxes in a small city of about 30k, yet they're never stocked as of recently!

reply

Not sure. Under a thousand. It's a properly small town. We got a second traffic light a few years ago.

reply

Sure do! They are the only alternative to subscribing to a streaming service, that I know of.

reply

Hopefully you're having better luck with availability. Maybe its just where I live, but I have the feeling the company is on their last leg.

reply

Never have, despite passing one every time I went grocery shopping. For a year or two, I would go get 6 VHS/DVDs from the library every week until I realized I could find them all online without making that drive.
