Johnny Cash has a truly awful cover of If You Could Read My Mind which I absolutely refuse to post a link to.

I just did a YT search for covers of it, & seems the one you posted is the best of the bunch. There are A LOT of truly awful covers of it.

I'm convinced that Hey, St. Peter may be the most UN-coverable song ever!

Oh no Hey saint peter was a tough 1, but below Meatloaf paradise by the dashboard was definitely the hardest. Every cover sounds exactly like the original, which I'm not a fan of. I must have listened to 20 covers of that song couldn't find 1 that sounded any different from meatloaf's version.

I think it's rather difficult to translate the dramatic/theatrical arrangement of the song into other genres, which is why most covers of it don't even try to do it different than the original.

I'm not a fan of the original song but what he did with this is amazing! And that whistling instrument in the beginning. LOL he had to run out and find one of those.
