Are you in awe of space? Or don't care?

Im not fussed.

I love having space in a relationship. I am indeed in "awe" of it. The introvert in me loves space. I do my own things and she does her own things. I just feel when you're constantly together, it can feel draining and overwhelming. Sometimes you even get sick and tired of each other. I just find it more enjoyable when there is time apart for me to enjoy things on my own. And then you start to value and appreciate the time you have together more, y'know? I need to "recharge" with having space. Sadly, it seems many extroverts don't understand this simple concept.

Space is healthy and key for a relationship.

Can I ever relate to that! I was in a relationship a few years back where I felt I had the best of both worlds for awhile. We had both been divorced for a number of years, worked for the same large company, albeit different shifts, lived directly across from each other in the same apartment building. We actually had hooked up during the holidays. Yeah, it was nice, constantly sharing the space of each other's homes, then retreating to the solitude of our own, whenever we felt like we needed it.

reply

Yes! That's perfect! If more people follow this simple "space" concept, I bet divorce rate would plummet drastically.

reply

As in outer space 🙄

reply

You didn't say "outer space" in OP.

reply

Most people would understand that’s what the OP meant, as in, “Space: the final frontier. These are the voyages of the Starship, Enterprise.”

reply

"Space" = distance
"Outer space" = stars, planets, galaxies, etc

OP should have been less ambiguous.

reply

Yes and the fact that I said "in awe" should have steered them away from any other interpretation of the word.

reply

I knew what you meant. I chose to respond to his interpretation because as I stated, I was able to strongly relate to his point.

And yes, I'm in awe of the cosmos, always have been.

reply

In Awe. Through the years me and many of my friends would stare at the sky and the thousands of stars. It would almost always start a conversation about whats out there.

a good sized garage space where you can work on your car in the warm and dry is pretty awesome

reply

Having spent yesterday at the Kennedy Space Center, yes I am in awe of space and all its beauty.

reply

What excites you about vast space with no oxygen and no other civilizations?

reply

The vastness, the spectacle, the possibilities, the fact that it makes us all so infinitesimal and inconsequential.

reply

You didn't ask me, but what kid who grew up reading sci-fi isn't interested in other planets? What might live among the volcanoes of Io, swim in the methane seas of Titan, or float amount the massive clouds of the gas giants? What's up with all those planets in other solar systems that astronomers are constantly finding now, could humanity ever find a home away from Earth?

Plus, stargazing is nice and eclipse trips are fun, and the pictures of nebulae and galaxies are gorgeous! I only have a mild layman's interest in astronomy, but it's all marvelous.

reply

Yep.

reply

Incredible awe. I’d love to do a space walk.
