What's the best way to murder someone?

1. Poison
2. Gun
3. Knife

reply

I would say likely poison. It is less messy than a gun or knife and would probably be harder to trace.

reply

A GUN THAT SHOOTS POISON TIPPED KNIVES. NOEMOJI

reply

fuckin nice!

reply

Murder somebody poor, with no family. The police won't do squat.

reply

I think you give the police too much credit. Murders solved is probably like 30%. rich or poor

reply

Yes, but if the victim is rich, has a family who'll nag the homicide detectives, or if the press and public take an interest, the police will at least make an attempt to investigate!

Murder some poor "Lot Lizard" crack ho, and absolutely nothing will be done.

reply

There's no money in solving murder for local law enforcement. The money is in drug busts. This drives all manner of bad policy, including the neglect of other, more serious crimes.

reply

Tell me you know nothing about the police without saying you know nothing about the police...

reply

That's my line!

reply

Oh, well then, it's not you, it's me!

reply

Push them into a pen of hungry pigs.

reply

We're all doomed..........doomed!

reply

Hit them over the head with a block of ice and then watch the evidence melt away.

Vibraslap - gotcha 😉

reply

Or a frozen leg of lamb, like a bat. Then cook it and eat it. No murder weapon to be found.

reply

And tasty too.

The key to making all these work is ice. Ice melts and eventually evaporates.

1. Poison ice might be the easiest to trace because the poison remains detectable in the victim's system, and that could be traced back to purchases made at the poison store. Might want to reconsider this.

2. A gun that shoots ice bullets would work pretty well if the ice were cold enough. You could even put bits and shards of real bullets in the ice to ensure extra injury, though to cover up the crime you'd better have some molten lead on hand to pour over the gunshot wounds so that to the authorities it would look like just another accident at the local foundry.

3. An ice knife would probably serve as the best all worlds - confirming the kill and ensuring that the ice melts quickly enough to eliminate the evidence. Maybe put a pot of water on the stove after the stabbing is done and throw the ice knife into there, then place a similarly shaped metal knife in the hand of the murderee. To most cops this will be an open and shut case of a someone who started boiling a pot of water, checked the temperature with a knife, and then slipped on the water that dripped onto the floor and accidentally stabbed themselves several times whilst trying to get up.

reply

They did this on Monk. Ice block melting.

reply

I remember that episode, and it's not quite the same thing.

Murder solve rate in the US....20%.
