Nirvana is probably the most overrated 90s band. Cobain wrote some interesting songs, but could barely play guitar and his vocals were nails-on-chalkboard.

I don't think I've ever heard Alice in Chains, but considering I'd rather go completely deaf for the rest of my life than to ever be subjected again to a single second of Nirvana...
