Anchorman
Star Wars Last Jedi
Nope

ANCHORMAN IS A LOT OF FUN BUT FOR A CERTAIN TASTE...JEDI IS AWFUL AND I HAVE NOT SEEN NOPE BUT IT LOOKS COOL AND I LIKE PEELE'S WORK.

I can only think of one off the top of my head: Who Framed Roger Rabbit? (1988). I remember all the hype over this and, being a fan of animation, couldn't wait to see it. The novelty of the live action/animation combination quickly wore off; all that was left was a dragged-out, boring plot.

I would consider it a form of torture to have to watch this again. I can't believe that rumors of a sequel still persist.

EDIT: I just thought of a few more; since the limit is three, I will add:
The Sixth Sense (1999). A good movie, but once you know the twist ending I can't see it warranting a repeat watch.
Forrest Gump (1994). A charming story for sure, but another film that was overhyped. I couldn't sit through it again.

I AM GOING TO TRY AND BE CIVIL IN MY THIS RESPNSE...ARE YOU FUCKING CRAZY.?..SHIT...I ALREADY SCREWED UP...DAMMIT...WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT?...THAT IS ONE OF THE GREATEST FILMS EVER MADE...BOB HOSKINS IS A TOP TIER LEGEND AT HIS BEST IN AN ANIMATION MARVEL OF IT'S TIME...I CONSIDER IT A NEAR PERFECT FILM...9.5/10...I AM THINKING THE FACT THAT I WAS YOUNGER WHEN I FIRST SAW IT MIGHT HELP...BUT COME ON...BOB HOSKINS...THAT DUDE IS LEGEND.

reply

I thought the live action/animation combination was one of the most fascinating aspects of the film. It must have been terribly difficult to make.

reply

I agree that technically it was fascinating, at least at first. But once the novelty wore off, you were left with a mediocre plot. This movie seemed to drag on forever.

reply

The one thing that makes The Sixth Sense both interesting and fascinating the second time round is that Bruce Willis never interacts with anyone but the boy, which is something you don't notice on the second viewing. A good example of a movie that is NOT worth a second viewing is The Usual Suspects.

SW: The Rise of Skywalker
The Harder They Fall (2021)
WW84 for me as well

reply

In addition to the post I just made I will never watch the Disney Star Wars Sequel Trilogy ever again.

reply

Ouch. Me neither

reply

FORCE AWAKENS IS ALRIGHT...I ENJOYED SEEING THE OLD GANG AGAIN...IT JUST WENT DICK ALL NOWHERE AFTER THAT.

reply

I really agree with this. Force Awakens was a soft reboot of a New Hope and it's what everyone involved wanted to do and it mostly makes sense. There was little original and they knew it, but it's purpose was to draw and put SW back at the top. Huge box office return and good reviews, it's exactly what they wanted regardless of the "hardcore" fans calling them all out.

With the TLJ, Johnson tried to do something entirely different and make a sci-fi comedy and it completely flopped in his face. I still give him props with attempting something different even though it was a failure, at least he tried.

Then we get, The Rise of Skywalker which is such as half-assed, no thought, unoriginal, ultra paced, big budget film as possible. Sure Ryan Johnson took things off track, but if there was ever a time to attempt to bring in some original ideas now was the time. But, AJ Abrams comes up with the lamest idea of all and brings back ole Palps. The guy certainly has talent as a director, but my god, he is terrible at writing, and even exponentially worse at finishing a story.

reply

SKYWALKER AND 84 ARE TWO OF THE WORST BIG BUDGET FILMS IN QUITE SOME TIME.

reply

At least with Skywalker you kind of knew it was going to be a train wreck, but I really enjoyed the first WW, so WW84 was a big surprise.

reply

Turistas, The Human Centipede, and The Garbage Pail Kids Movie.

reply

FAIR BUT FORGETTABLE,GROSS AND EMBARRASSING AND STUPID 80'S NOSTALGIA...GOOD SELECTIONS.

reply

Turistas made me mad seeing one of the actresses get gutted while she was still alive to see it. It felt like a snuff film. The premise of Human Centipede was too sick to believe and somehow two more sequels were made. The Garbage Pail Kids movie was so bad I couldn't even finish it.

reply

Spring Breakers (2012)
The Last Airbender (2010)
The Happening (2008)

reply

Correct on all counts.

reply

All shockingly bad.

reply

Spring Breakers is the one the pissed me off the most of those 3.

reply

I thought Spring Breakers was fantastic, a 9/10. I thought The Happening was decent, a 7/10.

reply

Horses for courses.

reply

I AGREE WITYH ALLABY ON SPRINGBREAKERS WITH A LESSER RATING 7/10...THOSE OTHER TWO ARE BAD THOUGH.

reply

Elvis

The others

The sixth sense

reply

It says 3 movies you will never watch again.

reply

Yeah I know.

reply

HARD TO ARGUE WITH THOSE CHOICES.

reply

Gerry
Contact
Gravity

reply

I thought Gravity and Contact were excellent.

reply

That's the irony, or something. A lot of people liked them, while I detested them.

reply

I get why people don't like "Gerry". It's just two guys walking and talking. But despite it's minimalism it held my interest.

reply

Aw contact and gravity are on my rewatch list. But everyone is different and I respect that

reply

GOOD FLICKS BUT FAIR ANALYSIS.

reply

Mother! (2017)
Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)
31 (2016)

reply

I really enjoyed Mother! and Batman vs Superman.

reply

I AM A SUCKER FOR ROB ZOMBIE MEDIA...MOTHER IS BARELY WORTH THE FIRST WATCH...I WOULD SAY THE SAME FOR BATMAN VS SUPERMAN EXCEPT I FUCKING LOVE ANGRY OLDER MURDERING BATMAN'S ARMOR AND VENGEANCE FUELED PURSUIT OF SUPES...REST OF THE MOVIE SUCKS.

HEY...MY MOM'S NAME IS MARTHA TOO...LET'S FUCK EACH OTHER.
