I know someone who loathes Emma Stone. I don't get it. There's never been controversy with her, she doesn't seem fake, she seems likable and she never gets political. What's there to hate?
shareThe only valid answer to your question is, "No," because if you know anyone who hates a particular actor/actress, that means that he/she isn't universally liked.
There's probably no such thing as a universally liked actor/actress anyway. Someone like Michael J. Fox might come close, but I'm sure there's at least one person on Earth who doesn't like him; probably a lot more than one.
Robin Williams.
I don't hate him, and this isn't about him as a person. I don't enjoy the majority of his movies. I liked him in serious roles, but I couldn't stand his comedy. Same goes for Jim Carey. The over the top, always on, just isn't my thing. I know Williams is regarded as a genius, and watching him in interviews just able to improvise anything is impressive. It's also exhausting. His story is heart breaking, but I still don't like many of his movies.
My mom is not a movie or TV person, but she absolutely hates Robin Williams going back to his Mork & Mindy days. She felt bad when he died, but she just hates his hyper attitude and was annoyed by the "nanu nanu" thing.

share"Hate" is a pretty strong word. I never cared for Chevy Chase, but I don't hate the guy... I just don't think he's really that funny. I never could understand why everyone raved about him. Maybe I'm missing something, or just don't "get it" regarding his style of humor.

shareI've never seen Community, but I did hear rumors about Chase being difficult to work with. I didn't learn of this until fairly recently, so it has nothing to do with my opinion of his humor. From day one, I just never saw him as being that funny.
shareChase is OK but I agree that he has always been way overrated. An engaging and sometimes funny lead but his inner asshole always bleeds through his performances.
