Are Spaniards considered "white"?
Mixed opinions it seems from the net.
shareIt depends.
shareThey seem to come in variety of colors. Although, in general, not as white as Northern Europeans. And not many blonde or blue eyes Spainairds. They almost resemble Italians.
shareThey also resemble Portuguese people.
shareI saw a tour bus in Hollywood recently of Spanish kids. Most had blonde hair and blue eyes. Celtic tribes did invade Spain and mix with the locals.
shareMy mother was Spanish and she had blonde hair and blue eyes, but it's an exception. It's very rare.
shareIt must be regional then.
I'm telling you, a bunch of blond blue-eyed kids got off a tour bus in Hollywood. They were all speaking Spanish and I was like "WTF?" because it's common to hear Spanish here among Latino immigrants. But most Latinos are brunette.
I chatted with one girl and asked her where they were from. Spain.
The north and the south are very different. That's why some areas in the north have been trying to become independent for decades.
The brown-skinned stereotype is typical from the south. The north looks like dark-haired Europeans (think France, or dark-haired Irish). Blonde hair is still rare, though.
Probably those kids came from the North-East area.
I was actually thinking North-West, like Galicia. There's a heavy Celtic input in the gene pool there.
The Gallaeci were originally a Celtic people who for centuries had occupied the territory of modern Galicia and northern Portugalshare

I'm going to assume Spainairds are a brand of sneaker. They probably come in all different colours.
Take a geography class at your local community college.
shareYou imagine they'd teach me something about 'Spainairds'?
shareLol. Okay, you got me. WTF are "Spainairds"?
shareDunno. We'll have to ask the OP. But they probably lived alongside the Moops.
I assumed it was just a typo. But thought I'd make a stupid joke about his typo. Because I'm petty that way
One thing which amazes me on these boards is how someone will make a glaring typo in their OP title. They can't have missed it the second time they log on. And yet they don't deign to fix it.
shareThey're mexicans
shareCompared to south and central Americans, they are white.
Many have light hair and eyes.
Once I went to a Latin music party and everyone was brown. A bunch of white people turned up and one started to sing along. I was like "wow this guys got some advanced Spanish to sing along." Turns out the group were Spanish 🤣
The correct spelling is "Spaniard," not "Spainaird."
Spain is a European country. European = "white."
To me Southern Europeans are off-white. Roughly speaking the further south you go in Europe the more mixing there has been with Africans and the further north you go in Europe the less so that North Western Europeans are much less mixed if at all and so are whiter, roughly speaking. The further east you go in Europe the more mixing there has been with Asians.
Some East Asians from the higher latitudes have skin as white as North Western Europeans.
You will find everything.
Some are very white ( but still you would never say in the most of the cases that they look like Scandinavians ), a lot of whites with more or less strong Mediterranean taint and some dark skinned (not black- I do not know exactly which term should I use here). In between you will find almost everything. You can take a look at following football (soccer) players: Sergio Busquets, Sergio Olmo, Xavi, Asensio or Gérard Pique.
