Once went camping with a young lady who brought a tin of salmon that was just like a tin of tuna.
She mixed in some bread crumbs (don't know the ratio) and cooked them on a grill - or maybe a pan on the grill - and they made great little salmon patties on hamburger buns.
Very simple but I was really impressed. Have never been with anyone who came up with this concoction since.

Yes. At a seafood restaurant, I huad fine grilled salmon on a hamburger bun, with lettuce, tomato, onion, and dressing.

It made me realize that there are better ways to treat fine grilled salmon. Starting with lemon and butter, and going on from there.

I think you're talking about a salmon croquette which is just salmon mixed with breadcrumbs into a patty and fried. My mother cooked them on Friday when I was a kid. But they were served with lemon and butter, not eaten on a bun.

Grilled with BBQ sauce, yes. True barbecue (low and slow) won't work with burgers. They will completely dry out
