Does anyone feel awkward and sad responding to a 2 year old post on this website?

The people who started those 2 year old post ain't going to read your reply.

reply

I reply to people who chime in on my two year old posts.

reply

As you should, unless they are a troll then your way is a good way.

reply

A lot of those posters are still around. I get responses from posts 4 years ago and it’s not sad, conversations can be ongoing.

reply

all posts are fair game

reply

Nah'.

I'm not replying to specific users, rather I'm posting for posterity. I personally like the archived discussions on here, I like reading old discussions on films. It's why I freely bump old inactive topics.

In 2 years people will read my post, reply and I'll never read it. The cycle continues.

reply

I do, but I don't care. Maybe someone will reply eventually.

reply

This often happens.
Responding to old threads is good, the post might bring up some interesting conversation.

reply

To add…There are some very old threads to respond to here, one of the oldest was 17 years ago👍

reply

Read much?

reply

Nope. I have responded to ones that are older than that. I don't see it as responding directly to the OP just adding to the discussion.

reply

^This^

reply

If that 2 year old was able to write it then I expect them to be able to read it.
