I'm looking for suggestions based off of my top 20. People have suggested Twin Peaks to me... but that looks really stupid so I refuse to watch that. I was also suggested Legion (2017-2019) and that was horribly confusing so I quit in the middle of season 1.

I like a lot of those series on your list.

You might like Bad Blood or Peaky Blinders, both are about gangs, have lots of good actors and are worth checking out.

The Punisher and Daredevil on Netflix were great too if you like crime/vigilante shows

reply

Peaky Blinders Season 6 comes out tomorrow!

reply

Had no idea, thanks!!
Jeez, it’s been a couple years…

reply

'Punisher' and 'Daredevil' are on Disney+ now. Netflix lost all their Marvel shows a couple months ago. They are both excellent though.

I recently binged Mad Men (2007 - 2015) and was very impressed. Good writing, characters, long story arcs, historic references.

The Wire (2002-2008). The absolute platinum standard of series.

Another vote for Peaky Blinders.

reply

I couldn’t get into Mad Men, family drama is not my genre. The Wire was really great though.

Oh boy, that Omar is a piece of work.

reply

Mad Men, me neither. A show about advertising !?

reply

It was boring to me

Chapelwaite
Midnight Mass

reply

I saw Midnight Mass and it was fuckin awesome. Come to think of it, that should really be on my top 20 list..

reply

Chapelwaite is great. It's loosely (very loosely) based on Stephen King's short story Jerusalem's Lot (not his novel 'Salem's Lot).

reply

This looks very interesting!

reply

i liked both of these. midnight mass was the better of the two.

You have to watch The Wire, The Sopranos, Mad Men and Downton Abbey. Check out my post on the BBC top 100 shows of the 21st century. A lot of posters made suggestions for the list.

Mr. Robot
Bordertown
The 100

Twin Peaks is awesome. You should reconsider watching it.

Farscape,
Sons Of Anarchy
Fringe
The Marvelous Mrs Maisel
Cobra Kai
Severance
The Expanse
The X-Files

reply

Trollhunters and its two spin-off series. Star Wars Rebels is another good one.

reply

Six Feet Under. Really quirky with flawed characters.

reply

And probably the best ending ever for a tv show.
