Never judge a person by their appearance unless.....
They have those super long nails. There isn't a person on this earth with those nails and an IQ above 70.

Can I add those with face tattoos to the people that should be judged by their appearance?
shareTattoos on any part of the body are trashy. And anyone who would permanently mar their skin must have some sort of mental problem, self-loathing or extremely low self-esteem.
I've asked many times on various forums "why do people get tattoos?" and have yet to receive a legitimate answer. Because there isn't one.
I've known a lot of people with tattoos, and it does seem like the vast majority do it for attention and also much of it is having something to talk endlessly about to other people with tattoos. I don't want to say they're a personality substitute but it often borders on that I think.
A few years ago I dated a quite attractive lady, and a few dates in I saw that she had a unicorn tattooed near her shoulder blade. It was just a couple of inches across, but it looked like a six year old had drawn on her. It was awful, not to mention it was a unicorn ffs. It put me off her and things didn't last.
"...it does seem like the vast majority do it for attention..."
Not a legitimate answer, either. There are many positive, non-destructive ways to draw attention to oneself, if someone absolutely must be the center of everything. This sounds like another form of narcissism to me.
You dated a formerly attractive lady. She was attractive until she permanently marred her skin with a trashy tattoo (a silly unicorn, of all things). I would have dropped her, too.
A person's body is a brand-new expensive sports car. Getting a tattoo is taking the keys and scuffing the paint job.
I’ll leave it to you to tell Wolverine (snikt!).

... they think it's okay to permanently mar their bodies. I'm referring to trashy tattoos and those "plug" or "gauge" earrings that stretch the earlobes out of shape.
Fingernails can be trimmed, ridiculous hairstyles will grow out and piercings can be removed (although there will be scars). Clownish clothing can be sent to the thrift store. But deliberately doing permanent damage to ones body is a sickness. Don't these people ever stop and think about future consequences?
No, I don't believe that they really think years ahead.
They simply want to do what seems cool to them at the moment.
They will regret these rash decisions later. The sad part is the damage will be permanent, unlike some of the silly fads I mentioned above that looked ludicrous but did not leave a lasting mark.
