Both have plenty of ups and downs.

And propellers. And seats. And doors. And both can fly. And both are noisy. And full of metal too. And can stab and chop you up. And make you enjoy it also. :)

yes, in order to gracefully sail by you have to paddle like hell and keep your shit together.

I dont mean you peddle it like a bicycle : )

I mean the way , as a guy on tv once put it ...

"Planes , glide gracefully through the sky using the air for lift , helicopters just beat the air into submission by forcing it downwards "

and also the amount of controls you have to juggle simultaneously to fly a heli
