Pseudo Echo "Funky Town"

reply

I prefer this version. Always have.

It brings back memories of Aussie summer in the 80's a much better time. I remember hearing the original back then and thinking it was a pile of crap. The rock version is better but then the rock version usually is.

Post Modern Jukebox is so underrated. I love the new spin they put on old songs. My favorite, I think is Video Killed the Radio Star, I bought that one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N26_hRITlsU

That one is great. I bought that one too. :)

I like Wannabe too.

That dude called Moonglum9 liked Hawkwind! 😉

He seems like an awesome guy with great taste in music. No doubt he is smart, funny, strong as bull, and handsome to boot. He's my hero!

Northern Kings - A View to a Kill
https://youtu.be/TowvjUQn8fw

reply

I like bombastic operatic type metal but with Northern Kings I feel they try a little too hard. Or maybe I want heavier guitars.

reply

They've done two albums of just 80's covers, another metal band that has done that is Atrocity, I think of the two Northern Kings sound heavier though.

This is German Medieval band Feuerschwanz performing a cover of Romanian band O-Zone's song "Dragostea Din Tei" and yes they sing in Romanian. The song went number 1 in Germany.

It is unashamedly European and good silly fun.
