I agree with him. Very dangerous dogs.
To be clear, I don't think anyone is talking about slaughtering living pit bulls. All dogs should be treated humanely. It should be done by banning their breeding and sale until the breed dies out.
There are so many pitbulls at rescue shelters. It is so sad to see how these dogs are bred, mistreated, and then abandoned at shelters. There are sanctuaries for tigers and bears that get seized in drug raids, backyard pens, and shoddy circuses. The sanctuaries care for the animals and put them in large enclosures with natural settings, so they can live out their lives in peace. Maybe something like that should be set up for pitbulls.
shareI fully agree. Despite my view of the breed as a general matter, I've interacted with a number of individual pit bulls that were sweet and gentle dogs, and I cannot abide the mistreatment of any of them.

shareIf they all get neutered and spayed they can live in small, supervised packs in large indoor/outdoor enclosures. Dogs like to run with other dogs but ones with stubborn aggression may have to live in solo enclosures.
