There are some things that many people take for granted that I don't enjoy. I don't enjoy close relationships with other people or beings for example. I'm not a "touchy-feely" kinda person - I prefer keeping my distance from others. I try to appear enthusiastic in social situations but maybe I'm just faking it? I don't smile a lot. Among other stuff.

Doesn't matter either way, you're not soulless.
Some folk like their own company. There's nothing wrong with that.
If You are content with your life then don't be bothered by other's opinions.
I'd say the real question lies somewhere in the motives of "maybe I'm just faking it?". Do you not know if you're faking it? I know that feeling on a number of levels. I'm not criticizing it but something in that feeling really needs evaluated for what it really is. It's not a comfortable situation to be in.
