I notice only the most extreme right-wing comments get deleted,
but I've had a lot of liberal comments deleted that were so toned down with no obscenity. They never call Righwingers on the deluge of plain lies they post, or the constant in every post insults to the broad category of libs.
They have a very peculiar and partisan way to moderate.
I mean ... if there is moderation here, why is virtually every board here filled with filth and extremist right-wing political speech.
I found a movie that had 14 year old comments in it from IMDB, and there was not a single inflammatory right-wing post.
The ruination of talking about movies came with the Right-wing descending on IMDB until they just shut it down
So then to keep that right-wing avenue of garbage going it sure seems like someone bought and moderates the site to keep it that way because it has never shown any sign of going back to actual movie talk.

I appreciate your politeness, but I think you don't have the data to back that up. Not that it would easy or even possible to get - especially the way this site is set up.
Ignore does not solve the problem.
The problem being, in my eye and my definition, I used to participate in IMDB's format from the very beginning. I was on the web in the early 90's as it developed and work in tech. Look up the movie "Lost Horizons" (1973) and read some of the threads and comments.
They are ancient as far as online posts, and they are concerned with movie discussion, criticism, perceptions, etc ... they are really good.
That is what I would like to see here. What I do see is that everything everywhere is swamped with ugliness and right-wing garbage. And there are more right-wing participants and they would together more cooperatively. If you notice the threads that are the last commented on rise to the surface, and then see that all the right-wing shills cooperate to keep their threads up, and knock other threads down - that alone should tell you statically that something unusually is going on.
Since I have been doing programming and IT for so long I type pretty blazingly fast, and since I have been reading and informed, from my "communist" "marxian" radical left point of view I can do what I need to do during my online times and knock out a reply to these right-wing clowns without missing a beat, but, I would love to see that all go away so that we could discuss movies without those who seek to ruin all online forums, because they ar everywhere.
