Crap day at work 😞

Have you ever been so sick of your job that you think "how much shit can I actually get away with before they fire me?".

I'm getting to the point where I'm actually tempted to try this just to see.

Not that I want to be fired. Im just bored and don't care anymore.

I knew a dude who worked at the same place as me who was just sitting at his desk one day, doing nothing. I asked him what was up with that and he said he planned on doing nothing and seeing how long until they fire him. It took 6 months. He left for another company and our company eventually bought them out and he works for us again. His former manager is gone but I poke some fun at him a bit every time I see him.

The "acts annoyed" is 100% me on the job.

Sure, works a bitch between the commute, the dicey parking, ever-changing work rules, miscommunication from the bosses and dealing with the general public

I suggest you try leaving your door open all day, an ear to blab and gripe to is therapeutic for your coworkers, many of them will feel better when they vent to a sympathetic person, be that source of comfort

The trick is to have 'a vault'
When a colleague shares their fears or pains and anxieties you must keep it to yourself...Trust and satisfaction are things we can cultivate at work

You can lift up your work friends and associates in this way👍

Wise and compassionate. Bill me for your next beer.

You're too kind😀
I'm a gent at work and a shambling fool everywhere else

reply

Yep. I've had says where I just don't want to go in at all. Not the usual feelings of not wanting to work, I mean serious heavy vibes where not only don't I go in, I also don't even call in sick.

reply

I'm like that with life in general.

ELO are my favourite group.

Mine too. Saw Jeff Lynne live in 2019. Another one off the bucket list.

reply

I first saw them in 1981 on The Time tour, recently Birmingham 2017 (I think) and then Wembley - if you listen hard enough to the Wembley or Bust Live album, you can hear me clapping, cheering and signing along (possibly).

Must have been the inspiration for his recent “Time of Our Life” song

“ Went down to London Town
To play our music at the football ground
"I can't believe this is goin' down"
I said to my friend Phil
60,000 rockin' out
And singin' loud, I had to shout
And best of all, they seemed so happy just bein' there”

Yep! He’s confirmed it in interviews. He’s my hero!
