shareYou're Only Young Once (1937) - a very light comedy starring Mickey Rooney, about as inoffensive as a film can be (except to liberals, of course), nothing is LOL funny but it's enjoyable enough, I found Rooney sometimes distracting and annoying here

very cool tribute to video nasties/giallos, but also its very own weird mood. reminded me a bit of berberian sound studio, if you know that film at all.
deadly weapons (1974) 3 doris wishman directs chesty morgan - 73-32-36.
not as fun or sexy as her 60s exploitation films.
but if you want a primer on how amazingly ugly the 70s were, i don't think you could do much better than this.
this is an ugly ugly ugly movie. hideous! it's an immersive experience, almost. you can almost feel the polyester, if you know what i mean.
the 70s were quite a decade.
so this is not great. it's not even really fun as trashy exploitation. it's not sexy, or at least it isn't to me. and it's certainly not particularly fun, the plot's not interesting.
but it's still a cool time capsule of 70s grotesquery.
