Gabby Petito: what happened?

She quit her job to travel the country and make travel videos. Unfortunately it looks like her boyfriend killed her and then lawyered up.

The Full video:
Ironic his name is Laundry; he obviously hasn't done any in a long time.

so now the boyfriend is also missing

reply

Fled to a non extradition country? I wasn't sure he was guilty, but this is just really suspicious.

reply

Sounds like he's smart and guilty. Imagine how many people are in prison because they didn't flee in time like Roman Polanski did.

reply

On the news they said they're searching for him in some SWAMP area in FL that he knows very well. They've got DOGS, and DRONES, and lots of others and other stuff looking for him now.
So things probably also won't go very well for him once they find him (especially if they also find the girl's body there in that same SWAMP area).

Since she was also posting photos and messages as they traveled they also say the TIME STAMPS will make if pretty easy to figure out where it is that she went missing.

reply

If he's smart, he'd have dumped her in some random deserted place in Wyoming, which is so lightly populated that nobody will ever stumble across a body. Much of Wyoming looks like this...

... there are hardly any people around, and the grass and scrub are tall enough to hide the body of a small adult. Once the vultures have finished, nobody will ever look in the particular spot where a body was dumped, or find a shallow grave. If he was smart, which seems doubtful, he'd just have taken her to some backwater and dumped her in a place where nobody will ever look.

Because yes, the poor girl is dead, I don't know how but I'm sure she's dead and he knows it. If he wasn't sure, he'd be treating this like a missing persons case, and making a show of trying to find her.

reply

That's probably the reason why they're using the DOGS (who are trained to SNIFF OUT and find a dead body).

And I also completely agree with what you say about how he'd be trying to FIND HER if she were missing instead of HIDING or MISSING now himself.

reply

How long would it take corpse-sniffing dogs to cover Teton National Park, or all of Wyoming?

To cover all of the places you could conveniently hide a body in Wyoming, I'd roughly estimate about ten thousand years.

reply

If they know WHEN she went missing, that might NARROW the search down a bit. And for some reason they seem to think her body might be located in that SWAMP area where he's gone to HIDE or do whatever he's doing. But as far as I can tell a search of that area also didn't turn up anything yet.

reply

Well, a Florida swamp is also a good place to hide a body, there are a lot more helpful scavengers and swamps are harder to search than scrubland. But that would mean he'd have to keep the body in his van for days and days, fearing traffic stops or minor accidents the whole time, so why he'd take the trouble when he had all of Wyoming to use as a dumping ground I don't know.

But then, I've never tried to dispose of a corpse myself, I can't speak from experience.

reply

He also could have kept her tied up or drugged and didn't kill her until he got back to FL. Also wonder if she may have been pregnant and he didn't want to be a father? That may also explain the reason why she's crying in the video and they were fighting so much.

GUILTY

reply

sure looks like it. not the way an innocent person would behave.

reply

None of his behavior has been that of an innocent person. It's logical to assume that he knew she was dead, if he thought she was missing but alive he'd have at least told the police where she was last seen last and cooperated with searchers, if only to save his ass from the suspicion of murder.

Of course I don't know if he killed her or if she fell off a cliff trying to get the perfect selfie and he panicked, but whatddya think? There's also the fact that a lesbian couple they crossed paths with were found murdered, the day after Laundrie and Petito had spent hours hanging around the store where they worked.

reply

No, he left his quilt at home.

reply

Oops, thank you.

reply

One of these two things had to have happened:

1. He killed her, drove back home and pretended like nothing happened and is playing innocent.

2. She killed herself and with all signs pointing to him because he was the only one with her, didn't call the police and panicked.

I'd put money down on #1.

reply

3: She also could have died trying to take a selfie on the edge of a cliff, because the whole trip was for social media content.

He knows she's dead, that's for sure, if there were any chance she was alive he'd be trying to make a show of helping to find her. But he stonewalled the police and then ran off, he knows he's liable for something bad.

reply

And what's worse is that I heard there was a big fight between the two beforehand where the police got involved.

reply

They should have arrested him when they had the chance to do it.

reply

Weird guy. He thought no one would notice she didn't return with him.

reply

I suspected the boyfriend might have had something to do with it from the beginning.

reply

Boyfriend is missing,disappeared,whatever.

reply

He's acting guilty.

reply

What's so special about them anyway? Hundreds of people go missing all the time. They're both in on it anyway hence his disappearance as well as hers so they could meet up and laugh at the stupid lame stream media for the new given fame.
