Even with all the superior quality DVDs, Blu-Rays, internet, Freeview etc on the horizon etc etc etc, I still these days have nostalgia for VHS and videos etc even with all their flaws and whatnot, some of which even showed like back in the 90s or so and may have caused frustrations.
But still...

I find that it is a nostalgia for the era, rather than the devices themselves.
As a stereo buff I get a warm fuzzy feeling when I see equipment from the late 1970s, the 1980s, and 1990s. But when I think about it, it is not so much the performance capabilities of the gear, which may have been eclipsed, but the memories of the time. It takes me back to when I heard Pink Floyd for the very first time.
Nah, growing up we had a lot of VHS tapes, then we ended up with a lot of DVDs, I'm happier with the smaller forms of media, but I'm not thrilled about buying the same movies several times.
