Is Delta variant rampant in your area? Are masks mandatory?

It seems people here have moved on from COVID-19 and mask isn't mandatory here anymore. BC, Canada on Vancouver Island.

Masks are back here in Reno, NV, as of yesterday July 30. I assume That would go for Las Vegas as well.

It's the main varient in Britain. Masks are no longer a legal requirement. Most people still seem to be wearing them in shops though.

The vaccination rate is very high here so I think we are being lulled into a false sense if security. Another more potent, vaccine resistant variant will emerge soon enough 😕

The Mayor of Kansas City is a fucking retard who reinstated the mask mandate immediately. Thankfully I live in the next county across state line who has no desire to bring it back. This is about power and nothing more.

I live in Florida. The last I heard we have 20% of the Delta variant cases in the US.

My doctor said for the past four months he hasn’t had a positive test in his office until this spike. Now it’s 6-10 a day in a small town.

Cases are still pretty low in the area where I live. No masking inside, although I suspect the poor school kids will have to start back to school with masks in a few weeks.

I haven't heard about Delta around here but
I ignore a lot of stuff

In New York City and the immediate suburbs masks are required

Out here in the woods (about 90 minutes from NYC) the mask mandate has been lifted though some people still use them

A lot of people have casually noted that nobody seems to have gotten a cold or the flu in the last 18 months

Masks are annoying but maybe they'll become a fairly normal thing

Yes, and no.

People aged 20-50 are dying in the ICUs, but people only wear masks in indoor shopping spaces. The restaurants are full, and social lives are in full blast. I'm worried that we're in for a shitstorm.
