In an almost 30 year career, my fave the Grateful Dead had exactly one song in the Top 40, "Touch of Grey." So I have a big catalog to choose from as being underrated (IMO, naturally). I can't narrow it down to one!
Edit: I'll pick Bill Graham's favorite, "Sugar Magnolia." A live version (from Europe '72) hit No. 91 in 1973. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2RJ3l_0_PA

i will check these out. thanks.
sharemy pleasure. i'm not a deadhead - but i respect their musical versatility - they went through a lot of evolution in their long life - tbh, though, past the early 70s, i didnt find a lot of their work grabbed me.
workingman's dead was definitely the high point for me, in appreciation of them.
I always liked this George Harrison song, since I first heard it at the end of the classic movie Time Bandits.

It's not generally considered one of his better ones, though.
I like that one a lot. My favorite Harrison song, which I think is also underrated, is Cheer Down. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8YaDExzJxP0
shareYeah, that one's great too. Listened to some Harrison after making my reply and that one came up. It's on his last best of collection, though, so maybe not as underrated as my pick. :)
