How do you feel about horror movies with puppets and dolls?

Like Chucky, Annabelle, Dead Silence, The Boy, etc.

They seem stupid and I just can't get into them.

They are too far-fetched to take seriously. The only one I've seen is Child's Play and I was laughing at parts of it. After seeing that one, I never bothered with any of the others you listed.

Exactly! 💯

This one would be my favorite:

All the others I’m not really a fan of.

Hahahaha! I remember that one! It was cool!

Great 'forgotten' horror from the Golden Age Of Slashers

I saw this at a Horror movie marathon at a local theater several years ago, the crowd was good and buzzed and this was an absolute hoot!

Great link, this is a must-see👍

Very creepy -Trilogy of Terror with Karen Black and the Twilight Zone episode called Talking Tina.

I wouldn't sleep with this in my room staring at me:

They can be fun and effective if you can shut your brain off and get engaged. Otherwise, it’s pretty dumb to just be physically afraid of a doll. Usually, there is supernatural elements involved that make it easier to buy into them being a threat.

Demonic Toys is the best of the bunch, obviously.

reply

Not really my thing but there is a really good one starring Anthony Hopkins.

reply

I think dolls can be creepy, but not if you actually see them move. Then it's pretty hokey.

reply

Yes, and pretty easily destroyed, lol!
