What are you doing for the Fourth of July?
Me? I'll probably just go downtown, maybe catch the fireworks or something....

shareExactly what I'm thinking of... I tried to post a long thing on Craigslist, pretending to be a veteran, telling everyone how these fireworks take me back to Vietnam (and probably threw in the trendy "PTSD" so people would understand) only to get a bunch of e-mails telling me that they now plan on setting off more fireworks.
I like staying home nowadays, but if I'm going to be up all night, or at least waking up every 30 minutes, I might go visit my cousin who lives an hour away, but I doubt it.
I'm not surprised. Neighbors suck. I even tried to go to the mall a few years ago to be enclosed and insulated, but there were still bombs echoing from the subdivision nearby. It should be obvious that fireworks could trigger panic for veterans.
shareThey don't care.. They love to pay lip-service though, but it seems many support a veteran...... until it costs them a quarter.
