Star Wars is an alternative reality and if your 'suspension of belief' allows you to enter that world, it's an amazing movie and journey.
If you just see it as a movie you might see it for what it is.
I grew up watching the start of it as I'd always fall asleep (would air around 830pm on tv.)
I go and see all the newer star Wars and enjoy them for what they are bit I'm not a huge fan.
I never got to see the originals in cinema but I did see the prequels and the new Disney ones.
i saw the first one at 14 and never saw another.
shareNo, not at all. You can enjoy SW in any phase of your life.
shareguardians of the galaxy has a very similar stupid vibe
shareI was impressed by the great SFX in a high-end large screen movie theater. It was the debut of Dolby, too.
I became a fan within 5 minutes. The movie surpassed my expectations.
I went on the first day in 1977, and as I waited in line a grown man came out of the theater and said it was the greatest movie ever.
But as the cannibal said, "There's no accountng for taste".
Some children might find Star Wars (or any other movie) too childish while some adults might find it grown up enough for them.
And many intelligent people might think that Star Wars (or any other movie) has a lot of flaws and a lot of good points. Of that group, some would think that the bad outweighed the good and others that the good outweighed the bad.
I loved it when it came out and I love it still!
