Your favorite evil woman in film.
Talking about really evil - who is your favorite?
Mine is Cathy Trask in East of Eden and I liked Jane Seymour's performance the best.

Kathryn Merteuil ... and to a lesser extent, the original Marquise Isabelle de Merteuil
shareOh YEAH, the Marquise de Merteuil! As played by Gleen Close in the marvelous "Dangerous Liasions", and Annette Benning in the less-known "Valmont"! Benning if fabulous, although the movie as a whole isn't as good as "DL".
And... Bette Davis as Baby Jane Hudson!!! And coolly watching her husband die in "The Little Foxes"!
Charlize Theron as serial killer Aileen Wuronos in "Monster".
Catherine Deneuve as the most glamorous vampire ever in "The Hunger".
The Fairy Godmother in "Shrek 2". No, really.
Phyllis Dietrichson - Double Indemnity

The Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz.
Honorable mention:
Cruella De Vil in 101 Dalmatians
Ursula in The Little Mermaid
Maleficent in Sleeping Beauty
Lady Tremaine in Cinderella (the evil stepmother)
Annie Wilkes in Misery
great list
Margaret Hamilton had a long career, once heard a story from a guy who met her in a bar in st. louis after one of her appearances probably at the muny opera, probably in the early 70s. he said she was an absolute delight, knew bunches of jokes and funny stories.
keep in mind this was in the company of a boomer who probably, like many of us, was slightly scarred by her terrifying green-tinted turn in TWOO.
i would have loved to have been that guy and had the chance to meet Margaret.
Great story. Thanks for sharing it.

^There I listed
Julie Newmar - Catwoman
Alice Krige - Borg Queen
Lena Headey - Cersei Lannister
Since the only one of those from a movie is Alice Krige - Borg Queen I'll say her.
Suzanne Stone - to die for
