This isn't really a surprise. At least, not to me. More choices, more competition out there. Folks can choose based on the kinds of things they enjoy watching.
sharei think netflix's content is just about the worst of the major streaming services, honestly, and when you consider the price, it's almost shoddy.
i'm not some malcontent. i want everything to be good. but of all the streaming services i use (7 pretty regularly, 6 of them paid services), i used netflix the least, and they're the most expensive. if i cut any out, they'll definitely be the first to go.
MY DAUGHTER AND I HAD NETFLIX FOR A BIT TO SEE FULLER HOUSE...THEN WE FINISHED THE SHOW...I WOULD SCROLL AND ADD SHIT TO MY LIST...BUT I EITHER NEVER GOT AROUND TO WATCHING IT OR IT WASNT VERY GOOD...SO WE CANCELLED OUR SUBSCRIPTION.
sharedo you use any other streaming services, or do you just watch your gigantic collection of tapes & discs?
shareI WATCH REDLETTERMEDIA,ANGRY VIDEO GAME NERD,CINEMASICKNESS,MINTY COMEDIC PRODUCTIONS,AND A FEW OTHERS ON YOUTUBE AT NIGHT IN MY BEDROOM...OTHER THAN THAT 100% PHYSICAL MEDIA...HAVENT EVEN TOUCHED THE TV REMOTE IN OVER A YEAR.
shareI think its HBO max that will really hurt them. Whether the movies are good or bad, they have a lot of the big blockbuster movies.

It's the beauty of Capitalism. You have to run your business really well, or someone else will do it better, and replace you.
Competition provides better products and services, and lower prices for the consumer.
