the farthest north and south you have been
south - belize
north - hopedale, labrador, canada
Since the EARTH is ROUND, technically speaking there isn't really a NORTH or a SOUTH. Those are just artificial descriptions imposed upon the PLANET that FLOATS around in SPACE TIME.
shareartificially speaking then
shareOk then ...
NORTH: Washington State and into the CANADIAN side of NIAGRA FALLS (which was a beautiful well kept area), whereas the US side of it with billboards and other pollution was not, and it was also a disappointment to see the FALLS ( due to the way the FALLS were not as large or as impressive looking as they seemed to be in photos that were taken of them).
South: into MEXICO.
niagara falls is a great natural wonder.
shareIt looks much larger and much more impressive in the PHOTOS one sees of it. My sister also said the same thing after she visited the area (is how let down she felt at seeing the real thing in comparison to the promo photos of it which give one the impression it's bigger than it is).
Being the LARGEST FALLS in the WORLD ... IGUAZU FALLS would probably be a much more interesting place to visit:
Iguazú Falls or Iguaçu Falls are waterfalls of the Iguazu River on the border of the Argentine province of Misiones and the Brazilian state of Paraná. Together, they make up the largest waterfall in the world. The falls divide the river into the upper and lower Iguazu. The Iguazu River rises near the heart of the city of Curitiba. For most of its course, the river flows through Brazil; however, most of the falls are on the Argentine side. Below its confluence with the San Antonio River, the Iguazu River forms the border between Argentina and Brazil.
I disagree. I find Niagara Falls fascinating. You can feel and hear the power of the never ending water.

Iguazu Falls are WAY more spectacular than Niagara Falls. I visited them in 2016. They are the farthest
SOUTH I have ever been.
😎
Niagara Falls is a natural wonder because it is one large body of water (Lake Erie) flowing into another (Lake Ontario). The fact that the glaciers carved this out many years ago is a natural wonder. Most other falls is just a river flowing over a mountain.

Yes, it is spectacular, but have you ever been to Iguzau Falls?
😎
Yes they are! They're absolutely MAGNIFICENT! I visited them in 2016, and they are the farthest SOUTH
I've ever been. I hope to beat that in a few years by visiting Antarctica.
😎
I would like to go there someday. I was at Victoria Falls in 2017 and sat in the Devils Pool.

Whoa! I've done a lot of dangerous things in my life, but I'm not sure I would want to do that.
😎
Yes Virginia, there IS a North and a South.
😎

huh?
I guess theres no such thing as time either ?
..becasue hours and minutes are an arbitary artificial man made construct?

Here's an article about TIME:

ah , yes , The Earth seen from Alpha centauri ,sector zz9plural_Z_Alpha
you can clearly see antarctica there at the top denoting the southern pole.
the closest ive got to the south pole is abouts50 degrees - Esperance , WA
I only really think of time as an illusion at lunchtime,
while having 5 pints and some salted peanuts
The Canadian side of Niagara Falls to the North
and The Yucatan to the South
Both were spectacular sights to see
South - Hobart, Australia
North - I've never been north of the equator so technically never.
I've never been south of the equator. In the Navy that makes me a pollywog. Once crossed you become a shellback.
https://navycrow.com/shellback-the-us-navys-line-crossing-ceremony-revealed/
I guess that would make me a shellback and not a pollywog.
Curious, I looked it up and it is called the same whether crossed from the north or the south.

i was about to say south - greece

North - London, UK - 51.5 N

North: Banff, Canada
South: Cozumel, Mexico
North 55.95 - Edinburgh Scotland 🏴

Hopedale, Labrador is 55.4580. You beat me.
shareIt's interesting how most of us who posted here so far have only been NORTH and SOUTH inside of our own HEMISPHERE AREAS.
shareI'm not well-travelled. I have been on the Canadian side of the border only a couple times, and only been South in the USA for Air Flight layovers.
Did drive through the Heartland but not the South.
Don't think I would enjoy it, driving through the South.
> Don't think I would enjoy it, driving through the South.
You should check out my part of the world, Kentucky. In the winter it's too cold. In the summer it's too hot. And in the spring and autumn it's neither hot enough nor cold enough.
I was surprised given where you live.

I checked my great circle route calculator. While the farthest north I've ever stepped on land is London (51.5), on my flight to Tokyo I got up to about 55 N. Does that count?
