Your Favorite Car Chase Scene?

What's your favorite? And who's the best getaway driver...?

Great bit of dialogue from Drive...
There's a hundred-thousand streets in this city. You don't need to know the route. You give me a time and a place, I give you a five minute window. Anything happens in that five minutes and I'm yours. No matter what. Anything happens a minute either side of that and you're on your own. Do you understand?

Blues Brothers. The last major car chase. Best in movie history.

Agreed!

Might not be the fastest , coolest, or most dangerous , or dramaitc-est, or etc
but certainly most entertaining

The Seven Ups , Roy Sheider driving (1973)
Best getaway driver is Steve MaQueen in The Getaway

The Seven-Ups was a great chase scene, right up there with Bullit, To Live And Die In L.A. and The French Connection

reply

Those are the ones!

freeway scene - to live & die in LA

The one from Bullitt (1968). That was real, and not just a bunch of stupid CGI like these days.
