Most of what I listened to as a kid was Eurodance and Trance music and all that jazz.....well not jazz but you know what I mean LOL
Well I would have to go back to the 70s for music I listened to as a kid:
Love Will Keep Us Together (1975) - Captain & Tennille
Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Ole Oak Tree (1973) - Tony Orlando and Dawn
Disco Duck (1976) - Rick Dees & His Cast of Idiots
These things are impossible for me if I'm trying to be literal but --
Three unusual songs that are very memorable when I was young?
No Milk Today - Herman's Hermits. Might have been the B side of There's a Kind of Hush, but I found it fascinating in musical economy and subject matter. I still will sing in my head - No Milk Today/My love has gone away/ ... (something something)/A symbol of the dawn. NMT/It seems a common sight/But people passing by/Don't know the reason why. Whatever, it sticks in my head.
Red Rubber Ball - The Cyrkle. Had that folk-rock, pre-jangle feel to it, easy to sing along with but not aimed at little kids. Many years later learned it was written by Paul Simon. Yes, THAT Paul Simon.
Flowers On The Wall - The Statler Brothers. That was a real head scratcher for the little kid me. Very catchy but what the heck are they trying to say? Which made it that much more interesting.
