If the package was in the secure lobby of your building, does that mean that only other residents would have access to it? If so, it might be wort putting up a notice explaining why it was an important package for you and asking for it to be returned anonymously. Who knows, you might appeal to their better nature, especially when they realise that the blanket wouldn’t have any monetary value to them.
