Is there any sound argument for giving a life sentence for non violent offenses?
It’s pretty fuckin ridiculous if you think about it

shareSpys get life sentences. And they're never heard from again.

In short, there are actually many.
For example, let's say I had a serious illness that left me completely dependent on medication, and you were a pharmaceutical company CEO. Let's say you raised my medicine costs exponentially, leading me to live a painful, much briefer life than I might've lived otherwise on affordable medication and ensuring my death and the deaths of thousands/millions of others unnecessarily. You'd better believe I'd want you to get a life sentence.
