Tim has deleted his account because of the harassment he was getting from the sock account. The sad thing is that the sock account will probably get a new account and post here giving everyone else a hard time.

shareSome people have multiple accounts so that they can pretend to be multiple people. So they can for example "back themselves up" if they get into arguments by "ganging up" on their opponent with fake multiple responders and also to generally fuck with people.
The old IMDb Boards were awash with sock accounts. One guy was so blatant he would just use the same name and add the next number to the end of the username each time the Mods wiped out his old sock account. He was well into the five hundreds when they finally pulled the plug on the place.
Ignoring or just laughing it off is usually best. A few days ago on the politics board, after my point was clearly made and the person arguing with me couldn't grasp he was losing an argument, I realized it was wise to leave him/her to himself to continue in his mind. I put this person on ignore, and I no longer have to see posts in all caps. It is glorious and MC from my view is so much better.

shareI don't really get pissed off at words on a board, but I like the ignore feature because it removes silliness and people whose posts are a waste of time. I don't actually remember the user's name, I just know it was in all caps all the time and this person seemed to deliberately evade my questions. It was a reminder for myself as to why it's is so utterly pointless to chat anything political.
I do remember banning someone a while back that had threads like "Why don't girls like nice guys" and other posts reeking or lack of confidence.
But that poster would cover GD with his posts.
And yes looking at my ignore list it was that person u mentioned.

shareIt seems to be nothing but bickering. It's too bad I genuinely enjoy discussing politics with reasonable people, and I love finding common ground, but that doesn't seem to be what people want there. Yet every blue moon I venture over there. Guess I am a masochist!

I lurk there occasionally, have even had some civil discussions. Granted, I was selective in who I responded to. I sometimes think it gets a bad rap from some posters here who want to make it appear as the rotten apple of the site. This board has definitely and often been just as bad. Why else would there be a consistent pattern of good, quality posters suddenly and sometimes inexplicably disappearing?

It's all good I am sure he is fine. I am not a fan of all caps though and it's more enjoyable for me not having to see it.
Moviebuff's posts were either obvious trolling or pleas for help. It was humorous for a little bit but it wore on me as well.
Not seeing posts like that has increased my enjoyment here. If you like his posts that is awesome. Everyone wins.
