Ophul's La Ronde & Cocteau's Orphee are two 1950 must-sees in my view. Great film year.

I'm not a big old movie watcher, but I really liked House of Wax 1953, Vincent Price was a genius.
shareHow come?
Maybe you're just not looking for the right ones? There's amazing movies from all over the word, spanning multiple decades.
I don't know. I went through a time when I wanted to see all the movies everyone said were great, then I saw Citizen Kane etc... I wasn't impressed. I do like Rear window, The Fly, but things like My Fair lady, Breakfast at Tiffanys, no offense to Audrey, but not a fan. I like movies were I don't know whats going to happen, so maybe Witness for the Prosecution.
shareMaybe try looking for the independent stuff?
I'm not a fan of a number of those movies - I just think you're checking the wrong classics (and non-classics).. If you tell me the kinds of movies you like (old or new), and more of a description of what you like to see in movies (Dramas with heavy dialogue, etc etc), I would be happy to give you recommendations.
