Who do you prefer: male or female singing voices?

I prefer female singing voices. I dunno. Maybe they are more soothing?

For pop music yes I generally prefer female voices. Otherwise I have no preference in Opera and with choirs I prefer mixed male and female.

I prefer Rock and Metal so I usually listen to mostly guys

I almost exclusively listen to rock and I prefer man's voice. Women's voices are usually too nice and soft sounding that it doesn't fit in with the loud drums and guitar. There are some that do fit in with the music like PJ Harvey and Savages.

to name just a few? All those ladies can match crashing guitars and drums as well as any dude

Fair enough. My point was just that female voices can suit rock music. Just like male voices can suit soft acoustic music and pop.

There are others than the two I mentioned, I just find myself drawn more to male rock voices.

I usually prefer women. Their are some men voices I enjoy.
