what are your favorite platforms to watch movies at home?

Guys currently I use platforms like netflix or amazon prime; However, right now if I want to change, what other platform do you recommend or think that the one I use are the best

reply

I find it really hard to find something to watch these days on Netflix and prime. I feel like I'm scrolling through the same shit over and over. I mostly just look for recommendations or go surfing on IMDb and get a list going, then get my brother to download movies for me.

reply

by which application does your brother download the movies?

reply

Fucks me aye. I just give him a list and by some kind of black magic, it appears.

reply

I'm really digging Tubi Tv! Lots of different stuff!

reply

I really like Tubi as well. It has a lot of the same titles as Prime, but there is a lot of crap to wade through to find decent stuff.

reply

This is true. There's also plutoTV, Filmrise, xumo and Favesome. A lot of the same movies overlap on these apps.

reply

Thanks the truth I do not know about that platform, but if I am going to look for it to see how it is

reply

Hi, I really like the Netflix platform a lot, but there are many new ones like popcornflix, Vimeo, vudu, Hoopla and many more, I hope they serve you.

The Criterion Channel is my favourite. I like Netflix and Prime too. Sometimes, I watch something on Shudder, Crave, Disney+ or Mubi.

reply

Thanks

reply

Pretty much Amazon Prime only. I'll occasionally subscribe to Netflix or HBO or Showtime if there is something I really want to watch (for example, Curb Your Enthusiasm), then cancel. I also check out Vudu once in a while.

reply

Thank you, I will take into account the "VUDU" platform, I am interested in learning about new platforms

Prime (some fun exploitation flicks and action to be found if you really look but be sure to check the runtimes vs the original length because Prime has a lot of edited stuff)

Netflix (too many Bollywood films right now but the original movies and series have been really good)

Tubi (LOTS of unedited horror if you don't mind some commercial breaks)

Plex (You can download oldies or fairly new stuff but the copy might be a bit janky)

Youtube (Some hard to find horror stuff but again check the runtime and some European horrors are only available in original language so it's hit or miss)

Welcome to MC, enjoy

How interesting how you describe them, thank you, help me a lot

reply

kanopy
hoopla

are free through public libraries that carry them. There may be a limit on the number of films per month you can watch. kanopy's limit is 3 per month at one library system.

reply

Thank you very much I will have it on mind
