Any show closely tied to reality. As said The Honeymooners. I would submit All in the Family and Hill Street Blues.

If I had to pick just one it would be Star Trek TOS. When I want to watch Star Trek, and I have a choice of any Star Trek series, I inevitably choose TOS.

My husband likes westerns. Right now he is watching The High Chaparral and I think it has held up well.

If I'm going to get all Scandinavian with you guys, I like to add the Danish series "Matador" from 1978-1981 to the list.
It is about life in a small Danish town between the years 1929 and 1947 and is still very much beloved back in Denmark.
When I watched it on DVD this Summer, I liked it very much.
