Question: When is this site going to update its ancient tech?
Just asking, bro.
π
This site could do with a lot of new features that most forums have.

AMEN!
This site should move into the 21st century. Are you listening, mods and little old ladies?
π
I love that they imported the IMDB boards but it's like that's all they did. No search function, no way of seeing who is online like most forums. No separate boards, ok there is but no one uses them as they are buried.
Also, who the fuck are the mods? Where are they? Who is the site Admin?
Basic stuff.
Agreed. Graphics would be good: color, avatars, etc. And they should get rid of that idiotic feature which tells you that you've posted too much. I think Jim is the Admin *, but I don't remember the names of the Mods.
π
* poet, know it
Nothing to do with us. It's only Jim that can make any changes.

Thanks for the response. Any idea if Jim is thinking about making any changes?
π
You could email him at [email protected] and request them but don't hold your breath for a reply or changes made.
Thanks.
π
If it ain't broke don't fix it.
I like the simplicity of this site. It could use a few more features for functional purposes, but overall I'd like it to keep its simple layout.

No problem with the layout, but we could use some more graphics: color, avatars, etc. And they should get rid of the idiotic feature which tells you you've posted too many times. That is stupid.
π
I hope they don't update it. I don't really want to see avatars. You'll have the guys with the Simpsonized faces, the lady who puts up pictures of her kids, the person with the political message, the guys with videogame characters, etc.
shareYou are right on. The simplicity keeps the tweeters and tick tockers away.

You do have a point there, bro.
π
Agree.
shareI get the impression this site is mainly a sort of public service for people who want to continue the chat function that IMDB used to have? televisionwithoutpity also had discussion boards (tv mostly, I don't remember if they had any for movies) and was shut down because it was not profitable. I guess I would be hesitant about making moviechat too complicated or burdensome to maintain, because then it might disappear. It would be nice if it were better known about, then we might get more traffic for discussions on niche and older shows. But I suppose then there might also be more trolls.
shareThe only thing I would like to see added is a chat box function.
