i would second the raid films. though the second one is just a bit too long, isn't it? but when there's action on the screen, it truly smokes.

i'd also put in a word for 'the night comes for us.' it's not quite on the level of the raid films, but it's very, very good.

I liked it. Jam-packed full of death-defying action-type scenes, like Cruise's MI stunts.

Think it deserved a higher IMDB score than it has.

Lots of cool actions and locations , but , well, the scriptwriter let it down i thought.

The script wasn't the greatest, but it didn't deserve the IMDB rating and the action scenes are on a par with the MI ones.

Why would you suggest the remake over the original?
Original: 8/10
Remake: 4/10

Watch the Jeremy Renner Bourne movie, Man From UNCLE (the Guy Ritchie one), MI 4 & 5, Goldeneye, The Living Daylights, Remo Williams, No Way Out, The Transporter, and John Wick 1 for starters.

You originally made this thread about MI3 and later changed it, so that was the film I was referencing. MI3 is the nadir of the series, a middling potboiler compared to every other entry of the series. Fallout is a great action movie in another league.

Makes sense now. I love the Bourne Ultimatum and Taken. If you're into mindless non-stop action, Shoot 'Em Up is a solid over the top action flick.
