We sometimes played monopoly as a family, but I noticed later we didn't improve our properties much by buying houses and hotels. Maybe we wanted the winner to be a product of luck as opposed to getting greedy and trying to crush the other player. I'm sure we were a bit TOO humble in a lot of ways.
