Does anyone here hate working like I do?

Hey, I'm sorry -- but I have to admit, I hate working. I hate having to keep busy, think hard, work hard, take time away from my personal life, family, lover, home, and personal pleasures.

It's awful.

I don't want to sound whiny, but I always thought it was the most awful thing ever, and horrible that we as a people had to do it in order to survive and take care of ourselves -- it's awful.

I wish I could live as good or better than I live now without having to actively earn a living or work to do it, but that's only a dream as of now.

Does anyone here feel like I do? Want to stay home all day instead of having to work?

Hate having to work in order to support yourself? Wish you could live in "lala land" and just live as well as you want to without having to do anything work related or stressful to do it?

Maybe you need a different job?? It's not about working to live, but liking what you do and feeling like you contribute to making life better for yourself and others helps.

WORKING ALLOWS YOU TO ENJOY..."my personal life, family, lover, home, and personal pleasures."...THE TIME AWAY FROM THE THINGS YOU LOVE ALLOWS YOU TO LOVE THEM MORE AND LONGER...

I am incredibly lucky that I enjoy what I do.

That's a complicated question. Sometimes I enjoyed working, sometimes I did NOT. Bottom Line: I'm really glad
that I'm retired now!

Yeah of course. I can think of so many things I’d rather be doing than working. It’s not usually the actual work that bothers me, but I hate schedules and time constraints. I would prefer to just show up at my own leisure. I’m also not a big fan of being told what to do.
I chose to never leave the wardrobe, so lala land is where I stay, but adult responsibilities do mess up the vibe sometimes.
It’s possible that this is not the way humans were meant to live. Maybe we would feel more fulfilled as hunter gatherers. What if that was what we were supposed to be doing, but instead we’re following a way of life that someone else decided for us as a way of maintaining order and control. Who knows?
I hope you find a way to fulfill your dream and take a trip to lala land.✌️

You run a tight ship girl. Get it ? Cause I’m the captain and your second in command?

That's why I've heard some people say that if you truly love what you do to make $, then it's not work at all.

reply

And no your right. Unfortunately many do hate their jobs. Some of us may only dislike or hate certain aspects of it. But, the way to look at it is "life is work". Another way to describe what I mean, is that in the beginning, like the clan of the cave bear days, everyone in the clan had to chip in for survival.

I hear you. I feel much the same. There are alternatives. Maybe you need a new career. I've thought of going it alone over the years, meaning just sort of drop out of society and live almost entirely on my own. But I'm sure that would come with many more difficulties.

I don't work like you. I work like I do. ;)

I love my work peeps and quite miss them during this 'lockdown' period but getting up early, the long commute and finding a parking spot can be a drag

reply

Parking lot drag race ftw!

I work in The Bronx so as long as you don't object to the obstacles being junkies, prostitutes and trash bags you are on!
