What do you guys think will happen to Derek Chauvin?
I bet he won't be found guilty. It's very difficult to convict a cop on murder charges. Although this particular act was caught on video, I still have doubts.

shareconvicted, 25 year sentence.
inside, he'll be housed with the gays & child molesters for his pertection
He'll be convicted. Things have changed.
shareAs will those clowns who chased Ahmaud Arbury around their neighborhood. They are complete idiots. They had no right to try to detain him. They were colossal idiots. They released the video, thinking that it would help them.
shareThe mug shot of the son who shot him has dull, stupid, duh written all over it!
shareSeriously! If you were casting deliverance and needed someone to play an ignorant hillbilly, he would have been at the front of the line.

He precisely fits the stereotypical dumb white trash racist ugly southern type.
shareLong jail term hopefully. The guy may have been resisting, but the cop stayed on his neck for far longer than the situation warranted once the guy was subdued. I’ve seen Cops episodes where drunk rednecks resisted more strenuously but were subdued less violently. It was a situation where both parties were in the wrong, just one was much more so than the other.
shareNearly 9 minutes of laying your knee on someone's neck is a long ass time. That's torture.
Speaking of 'Cops', they just cancelled the show after this situation. I was surprised 'Cops' was still on!
I dont know how much floyd was resisting.
But if.he kept talking and squirming a cop is going to think you still have some fight in you.
And hold you down until your calm or extremely.

I don't know but I do think his guilt has been unfairly prejudged, including by many people who should know better. It will be very difficult for him to get a truly impartial jury, even with a venue change.
shareThe act was caught on video. Video evidence is probably the most objective evidence there is. It tells the whole story. We saw what happened.
shareThis is true. I have not watched the video, because it sounds too awful. Based on the descriptions, it sounds like very powerful evidence. Still, our legal system provides for safeguards for people accused of crimes. He has a right to a trial with an unbiased jury. Granted, we both agree the evidence shows he is guilty. They need to find a dozen jurors who do NOT already have an opinion. That will be difficult.
It is probably in his best interest to plea bargain, since the evidence against him is so strong. However, the prosecutors will be under pressure not to accept a plea.
It does not tell the whole story. The whole story will include testimony, the full body cam footage from each officer's camera and the complete toxicology report.

Yep.
