What regional words do you use that are considered 'weird' by others?

Like do you have a different name for a soft drink/soda/coke?
Do you say 'bubbler' for 'water fountain'?

I've said the following words that others didn't get.

Note instead bill (as in money).
Reckon instead of think/think so. (Do you reckon?)
Ring instead of call.
Serviette instead of napkin.

I live in Indiana and I've heard pop and soda the most often. When I was in Florida people called any soft drink coke.

When I want my gf or a partner to give me anal sex I tell her/them I want to "sodomize" them, but I don't think this is a regional thing (although Indiana is largely Christian) as much as I just like using the word lol.

reply

Sodomized can never be a local colloquialism. But I like you moxie.

reply

True, I was probably just using this thread to type the word haha.

I like it because if we sleep with.someone new I know they will look up the word when they get home.

reply

Do you assume most people don't know what sodomized means?

reply

Yes I do assume that.

reply

Midget golf.

reply

pop vs soda

reply

I’m from Louisiana so we don’t have any weird regional words. 😉
