I know most say the book is better than the book, but I only read non-fiction, and most of that are biographies..

And the one fictional book I read will never be made into a movie (Catcher in the Rye)

Maybe The Mist? The story was really good, but the ending in the movie was pretty unexpected so maybe I would give the film the edge.

Toy Soldiers (1991) movie was actually better than the book. It also made a lot more sense. In the book, the terrorists goal was way beyond any hostage situation could justify.
