What was the last movie you watched?

And what would you rate it out of 10? I watched Lovely & Amazing (2001), directed by Nicole Holofcener and starring Catherine Keener, Brenda Blethyn, Emily Mortimer, Raven Goodwin, Jake Gyllenhaal, Dermot Mulroney and Clark Gregg. It is about a woman and her three daughters. I rated it a 7/10.

i actually re-watched the apartment this past weekend. it's an automatic 5/5 for me. it's probably my favourite film to ever win the best picture oscar.

Beauty and the Beast (1991).

9.5/10

Great film.

Sea Fever 3/10

reply

I haven't seen it, but it must be pretty bad if it is only a 3/10.

reply

It was terrible, Dougray Scott has finally hit rock bottom.

I just watched blinded by the light. It's a cute movie about a Pakistan kid growing up against traditional parents against a Bruce Springsteen inspired background. It was light and cute. Nothing heavy

reply

Looks good. I have been meaning to check it out.

reply

Being a huge Springsteen fan, I naturally loved Blinded By the Light.
It was directed by Gurinda Chadha (she also co-wrote the screenplay), who also directed Bend It Like Beckman.

Been a while since I've seen that

Just finished Rocketman (2019) 7/10. I Liked it, but not as much as Bohemian Rhapsody.

reply

I really enjoyed Rocketman and rated it a 9/10. I prefer Rocketman over Bohemian Rhapsody.

reply

For me it's about the music, I prefer Queen over Elton.

reply

I have all the albums that both Queen and Elton John have released; I’ve been lucky enough to have seen Queen twice and EJ 5 or 6 times, so it’s hard for me to pick one over the other. As for the films, Bohemian Rhapsody was awesome, but I enjoyed Rocketman slightly more.

In The Name Of The Father 1993

I just finished watching Spencer Confidential (2020)

7/10

Pretty good action romp starring Mark Wahlberg.

Sounds cool.

Ford vs Ferrari 👍
Harriet, 👎

The trouble with Harriet is its a movie about faith, not about Harriet Tubman. With the quality of a hallmark film.

reply

I haven't seen either one, but I have been meaning to check them out.
