the supermarket is crazy
I just got back and people are going are going nuts. (March 13/2020)
shareThis virus is an interesting taste of how people would act if a war or a real apocalypse happened. My conclusion is my country would be doomed. People really are like in the zombie movies.
shareWhere do you live? I live in the US, but I know that in my community people would come out of the woodwork to help and contribute.
shareSweden. There are people helping out here as well but most have revealed themselves as greedy butts through this. People become the most honest version of themvelves in a crisis.
shareThis is not easy and I am still often confused as to WHAT is going on in the world.
I know. I work in a Kroger store and around the time of this post, I got off work, and a lot of the aisles were empty by the time I got off work. Thankfully it has slowed down some lately. Some people though aren't following the guideline of only coming into the grocery store once a week.
shareI went to Safeway not to long ago, and I had to stand in line for about 20 minutes. I'll be so glad when things return to normal!
shareWhen I went on Thursday evening I walked right up to the checkout - no waiting at all. Go figure. Actually, I think it was the first time I've seen every single checklane open, but I tend to go during less busy times. And to be fair, I live in a smaller city (65,000 or about 100,000 or so including the surrounding areas). Still no TP, at least not at the time I went.
shareJust got back from a store run. Waited as late as I reasonably could to avoid the crowds, only to find out they've changed their hours and were closing in 10 minutes 😐
I did avoid the crowds, but wasn't able to do much shopping to stock up for at least a week because I ran out of time and a lot of the shelves were bare. Which means I'll have to go again soon. I don't like going out in public this often.
