Popcorn ๐Ÿฟ

Microwave or make it yourself?

I prefer to make it myself, but microwave has its moments - quicker, easy, no mess, no clean-up.

reply

I don't get popcorn. The texture is like I imagine how eating polystyrene would feel and the taste is bland and uninteresting.

reply

It kind of makes sense. I won't eat cotton candy for a similar reason. Seems like it would be like eating a cotton ball. Sorry, I don't know what it's called in other countries. Candy floss, maybe??

reply

I love air popped popcorn with oil olive and sea salt with no butter. Delicious!!

reply

why is cinema popcorn so expensive?

reply

Because movie theaters couldn't survive without those prices. I don't exactly know the economics, but a movie's initial release sees the theater making little or no money from ticket sales--the ticket sales goes to the movie studio. The only money the theater makes is the concessions. After a certain period (I'm not sure how long) the theater keeps some of the ticket sales.

reply

But why do cinema theaters earn so little from ticket sales?

reply

I don't know enough about the industry to give a complete answer.

Maybe someone who does can chime in?

I ALWAYS SERVE MY POPCORN IN A LARGE TUB WITH A PENIS SIZED HOLE IN THE BOTTOM.

reply

Lol.

You know...your replies are really getting old! Always the sexual innuendo! Not funny anymore! What do you call a person who types in all caps, always trying to be the comedian with the sexual overtones? ๐Ÿค” Hmm? Likes to break rules, exhibitionist, attention seeking (great one!)

reply

ME BEING MYSELF...THANKS FOR THE ASSHATE ADVICE THOUGH.

reply

Hate? Never! But, truth can hurt. ๐Ÿ˜ Sorry!

reply

ARE YOU FLIRTING WITH ME?

reply

Yeah, I guess I am...๐Ÿ˜š

reply

GROOVY.

Purple Amish popcorn cooked in olive oil on the stove top with butter and salt.

Sadly, I have never cooked or made popcorn at home.

reply

It's one of my favorite snacks when I get the munchies.

We have this:

I purchased it for my husbandโ€™s birthday. It has a very large footprint.

reply

Wow. I love my popcorn, but that's a bit over the top for me.

reply

Yeah, it turned out to be a bit over the top for us...especially the cleaning. I think itโ€™s been used once in the last year. When we got it I went all out for accessories, had popcorn just about every night. I weighed a lot less than I do now...no popcorn...but sweet desserts have put the pounds on! But, Iโ€™m also more sedentary than I use to be. ๐Ÿ˜ก

reply

More sedentary...I know the feeling.
