shareWOW, and I thought Reddit fucked up with their overhaul a couple years ago. This is the worst redesign bungle I've ever seen!

shareYeah, starting around that time there was a mass wave of bandwagon corporate rebranding across all industries. A few of which were upgrades, but most were just brands pushing all the way into soulless, characterless extreme minimalist flat design clones of one another, regardless of whether it was conceptually sound, because it was what everyone else was doing. Some of them could pass for satire.
In the process as well a lot of major sites saw huge sacrifices in functionality in favor of modular minimalism and Facebook inspired design. It seems to be getting worse as time goes on, IMDb being a strong case in point. I've always been into minimalism and it's even starting to piss me off.
I don't know, but I don't like it either. They broke what didn't need fixin'.
