Odd things you collect
For me it would be coffee mugs, bookmarks, and towels.
shareNothing odd, just Lego and Hot Wheels.
shareI squirrel away silver whenever I have some extra money.
Beach glass and pottery shards from the beach.
Old guns.
Different strains of cannabis seeds.
I call all but one of those prepping. Guess which one? π
shareLol it does sound like that doesn't it?
Silver is mostly a long term investment that I started in my 20's. I don't expect to get rich, but I think it could pay off after a few decades.
About the guns, I only have 3. My Grandfathers Lee Enfield and two Mausers. I hope to expand my modest collection.
Concerning cannabis seeds, I've mostly been focusing on landraces. They are going extinct at a rapid rate!
I like the rifles. Good place to start.
Both silver and cannabis have a multitude of uses.
Can't think of a practical use for beach glass. Fishing lures?
Yeah I'm an amateur prepper π―
Pocket knives
shareI had over 150 business cards at one point early in my career.
shareI recommend therapy for that one
shareThat was considered networking back then. I am over it now.
shareOh I do understand. It's just... I did insurance for a decade but I didn't do that lol
shareThe reason I still have a lot of old business cards is I remember these people fondly, so when I thumb past heir card I wish I could still get in touch with them. But this is not realistic.
shareI used to collect a few different things. I still have a box of postcards that have been sent to me over the years, but I don't have much anymore. When I left my husband I realized how much crap I had accumulated over the years and how very little it meant to me.
Ones I still have
Coca Cola Christmas Tree decorations. (but I have one tote, and if I over fill it, I have to get rid of some.)
Coins
Old books.
Guns
Knives
Old Paperbacks
Souvenir Shot Glasses from traveling
I used to collect stamps when I was younger but (like everything I do) eventually took it as far as I could; gave it to someone's son who wanted to get into collecting.
